Resonant Breathing Track
Resonant breathing, also known as coherent breathing, is when you breathe at a rate of 5 full breaths per minute. It's a form of breathwork that focuses on reducing the amount of breaths per minute, in order to relax the mind and regulate the nervous system.
This 5 minute audio features beautiful chime sounds at 11 second intervals to queue your inhalation.
Coherent breathing works by controlling the length of each breath, in order to take less breaths per minute. This engages your phrenic nerve, which enhances blood circulation and stimulates your vagus nerve. When you stimulate your vagus nerve, you can take your nervous system out of the fight or flight response and bring yourself back to a more grounded state.
To use:
Inhale each time you hear the chime and sync your breathing with the sound. Feel free to loop the track for a longer meditation.
You'll get a 5 minute mp3 - inhale in sync with the chimes and feel yourself becoming calmer and more peaceful.
